The sweetest crayfish come from Port Macdonnell
Port Macdonnell is the unofficial crayfish capital of the world. There is a great harbour and offload facilities right in the centre of town, and there are processors in the town itself and just down the road.
The good old crayfish are also now known as the Southern Rock Lobster. People say they are the best tasting crayfish in the world with a sweeter more delicate flesh than their northern cousins.
